Text
1.Termination of new vehicle dealership.
A new vehicle dealer whose franchise is terminated or changed shall immediately surrender the dealer plates and license to the Secretary of State. If business is to be continued, the Secretary of State shall issue the appropriate class of plates.
2.Used vehicle dealer obtaining a new vehicle franchise.
A used vehicle dealer who obtains a new vehicle franchise from a manufacturer or distributor shall immediately surrender the used vehicle plates and certificates and the Secretary of State shall issue the appropriate class of plates.
3.Penalty.
A person who fails to comply with this section commits a traffic infraction.
