Text
1.Definition.
For the purpose of this section, "special mobile equipment" does not include a vehicle that may be used for the conveyance of property except:
1-A.
Registration required.
Except as provided in subsection 3, special mobile equipment used on public ways, including, but not limited to, equipment that is rented from a location in this State or outside this State, regardless of whether the main office or headquarters of the owner of the equipment is located in this State or outside this State, must be registered in this State in accordance with this chapter.
2.Annual registration fee.
The annual registration fee for special mobile equipment that is permanently mounted on a traction unit or motor chassis is as follows.
