Text
1.Suspension by Secretary of State.
The Secretary of State may suspend the right of a nonresident owner or operator to operate a vehicle in this State for the same cause and under the same condition and in the same manner as that action could be taken against a resident owner or operator of a vehicle registered in this State.
2.Effect of suspension.
Upon suspension, the right of the nonresident owner or operator to operate a vehicle in this State terminates. The nonresident is subject to the same penalties as a resident who operates without a license or registration.
3.Notice of suspension.
Notice of the suspension of a nonresident's right to operate must be sent to the motor vehicle department of the jurisdiction that issued the license or registration.
