Text

The board shall report annually to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over criminal justice and public safety matters on the implementation and effectiveness of this chapter. The purpose of the report is to provide the Legislature annual information on the law governing law enforcement training in order to ensure that appropriate and timely training is accomplished. The report must include the following:

1.Availability of training. An evaluation of the availability of preservice, basic and in-service training throughout the State. The evaluation must cover whether any municipalities operated without adequate law enforcement officers with the power to make arrests because training was not available in a timely manner;
