Text
1.Multiple-employer welfare arrangement; approval required.
A person may not commence operations after January 1, 1995 of a multiple-employer welfare arrangement unless that arrangement is approved by the superintendent. A person may not operate after January 1, 1995 a multiple-employer welfare arrangement in existence before January 1, 1995 unless that arrangement has been submitted for approval in compliance with this chapter.
2.Insurer authorized to transact health insurance.
This chapter does not apply to a multiple-employer welfare arrangement that offers or provides benefits that are fully insured by an insurer authorized to transact health insurance in the State.
