§ 24-A §4611 — Duties and powers of the superintendent
In addition to the duties and powers enumerated elsewhere in this chapter:

The superintendent may suspend or revoke, after notice and hearing, the certificate of authority to transact business in this State of any member insurer that fails to pay an assessment when due or fails to comply with the plan of operation. In lieu of such suspension or revocation, any member insurer that fails to pay an assessment when due or fails to comply with the plan of operation may be punished by a fine not to exceed the greater of 5% of the unpaid assessment per month or $100 per month.
