1.Written examination.
A resident individual applying for an insurance producer license must pass a written examination unless exempt pursuant to section 1420‑H. The examination must test the knowledge of the individual concerning the lines of authority applied for, the duties and responsibilities of an insurance producer and the insurance laws and regulations of this State. The superintendent may adopt rules regarding the development and administration of examinations required by this section. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II‑A.
