Text
The rules of construction in Title 1, chapter 3, shall apply to chapters 1 to 19. As used in chapters 1 to 19, unless the context otherwise indicates, the following terms have the following meanings.
1.Compact or built-up section.
"Compact" or "built-up section" means a section of the highway where structures are nearer than 200 feet apart for a distance of 1/4 of a mile, unless otherwise defined.
2.Highway.
"Highway" means all of the right-of-way that may have been laid out by the State, county or town.
3.Maintenance.
"Maintenance" includes the restoring of reconstructed and improved highways to their condition when improved and shall be applicable only to highways to the improvement of which the State has contributed or shall hereafter contribute, except as otherwise provided.
