Text

1.Violation of section 2616 or subchapter VII. A person that violates section 2616 or subchapter VII commits a civil violation for which a penalty not to exceed $5,000 may be adjudged. Each day of operation in violation of section 2616 or subchapter VII constitutes a separate violation. The District Court or the Superior Court has jurisdiction over violations of section 2616 or subchapter VII.
2.Injunctive relief. The commissioner may commence or cause to be instituted a civil action in the Superior Court of either Kennebec County or of the county in which the principal place of business of the supplier of water is located, to convict and punish a person under subsection 1, to seek injunctive relief to prevent the violation of any rule or regulation issued pursuant to this chapter, to pr
