Text

The department shall adopt rules to carry out the purposes of this chapter and to ensure that state law relating to lead poisoning satisfies minimum requirements of federal law in all respects. The rules may address, but are not limited to, the following:

1.Lead-based substances. Prohibiting the sale or use of lead-based substances;
2.Screening. Screening children for lead poisoning;
3.Inspections; tests; abatement. 3-A. Department inspections. Performing inspections of residential child-care facilities, preschool facilities and other dwellings for the purpose of determining the existence of environmental lead hazards;
4.Training programs.
5.Licenses.
6.Laboratory certification. Certifying laboratories to conduct analysis of lead-based substances;
7.Notice. Notifying owners and occu
