§ 20-A §8463 — Assessment and appropriation of municipal funds

Municipal funds must be assessed and appropriated for a region's budget as follows.
1.Operating, construction and debt service costs.
Each region shall, in accordance with the region's written agreement for sharing costs adopted pursuant to section 8457, assess each unit within the region that unit's share of the region's annual budget for the operating and construction costs for region programs as may be required by this subsection and sections 8460 and 8465.
2.Deduction of federal grants.
Anticipated grants from federal sources to be received by the cooperative board must be deducted from the region's annual budget prior to making the assessments to the municipalities within the region pursuant to subsection 1.
