§ 20-A §5052-A — Attendance coordinators
The following provisions apply to attendance coordinators.
1.Appointment.
The following provisions apply to the appointment of attendance coordinators.
2.Qualifications.
An attendance coordinator must be a professionally certified or registered person in the mental health, social welfare or educational system who is qualified to carry out the duties in accordance with rules to be established by the State Board of Education.
3.Duties.
The duties of an attendance coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:

The department shall provide technical assistance to school attendance coordinators for carrying out these duties, through the Office of Truancy, Dropout Prevention and Alternative Education.
