The Department of Education is established to:
1.Supervise public education.
Supervise, guide and plan for a coordinated system of public education for all citizens of the State based on the system of learning results as established in section 6209;
2.Interrelation with other programs.
Interrelate public education with other social, economic, physical and governmental activities, programs and services; and
3.Cultural services.
4.Advancement of education.
Encourage and stimulate public interest in the advancement of education.
5.Cultural and historical heritage.
