Maine Statutes
§ 19-A §1835 — Standing to maintain proceeding
Subject to other provisions of this chapter, a proceeding to adjudicate parentage may be maintained by:
1.Child.
The child;
2.Woman giving birth.
The woman who gave birth to the child;
3.Person whose parentage to be adjudicated.
A person whose parentage is to be adjudicated;
4.Department of Health and Human Services.
The department; or
5.Representative of individual.
A representative authorized by law to act for an individual who would otherwise be entitled to maintain a proceeding but who is deceased, incapacitated or a minor.
