Text
A person described in section 2866 may not be a member of a parish or religious society without the person's consent. A person may dissolve that person's connection with a parish or religious society by leaving with its clerk a certificate of the person's intention to do so, and all the person's liability for future expenses ceases; but the person may be taxed for money previously raised, except in case of removal from a local parish.
