§ 12 §1873 — Establishment; area
Maine·Title 12 CONSERVATION·Part 2 FORESTS, PARKS, LAKES AND RIVERS·Ch. 220 BUREAU OF PARKS AND PUBLIC LANDS
1.Allagash Wilderness Waterway.
The Allagash Wilderness Waterway, in this subchapter called the "waterway," is established. The area of the waterway includes the watercourse as defined in section 1872, subsection 12 and all land area and all waters within one mile of the bounds of the watercourse as defined in section 1872, subsection 1.
2.Watercourse.
The watercourse within the waterway is established covering an area as defined in section 1872, subsection 12.
3.Restricted zone.
A restricted zone within the waterway is established, covering an area as defined in section 1872, subsection 8, to preserve, protect and develop the maximum wilderness character of the watercourse.
