§ 10 §9088 — Municipal inspections

Maine·Title 10 COMMERCE AND TRADE·Part 11 HOUSING·Ch. 951 MANUFACTURED HOUSING ACT

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this subchapter, the board may issue a license to a manufactured housing community on the basis of an inspection performed by an inspector who works for and is compensated by the municipality in which the establishment is located, but only if the following conditions have been met.

1.Adopted rules; code of standards. The municipality involved has adopted a set of rules, ordinances or other code of standards for the establishments which has been approved by the board and which is consistent with the rules used by the board for the issuance of the licenses in effect at the time of inspection.
2.Qualified to make inspections. No municipally employed sanitarians may make inspections under the provisions of this subchapter, unless certified as qualified
