Text

(a)This section applies only to a vacancy on the Committee that occurs while the General Assembly is not in session.
(b)(1) If a vacancy occurs in one of the offices of cochairs of the Committee, a successor shall be elected:
(i)for the Senate cochair, by the Senators on the Committee; and
(ii)for the House cochair, by the Delegates on the Committee.
(2)If vacancies occur in both offices of the cochairs of the Committee, the successors shall be elected from among the remaining members of the Committee by those members. One of the cochairs shall be a Senator, and one shall be a Delegate.
(c)(1) If a vacancy occurs among the Senators on the Committee, a successor shall be appointed by the President.
