Text

Section 1. The mayor of a city or the selectmen of a town, upon the request of two or more voters thereof, shall annually appoint one or more measurers of leather who have been certified by the director of standards as fit persons for such appointment, and who shall be sworn to the faithful performance of their duty. The director of standards may at any time, for cause, revoke such certificate of fitness, and such revocation shall immediately render such appointment void.
