§ 39 — Surcharge on registration, title and permit fees; surcharge on fines for violations of chapter 90B

Section 39.

(a)There shall be a 10 per cent administrative surcharge on all registration, title and permit fees collected by the division of law enforcement under this chapter. The surcharge shall be deposited into the Massachusetts Environmental Police Trust Fund established by section 2LLLL of chapter 29.
(b)There shall be a surcharge of 20 per cent on a fine assessed against a person convicted of or found responsible for a violation under this chapter or a violation of a special regulation made under this chapter. Notwithstanding the distribution of fines, penalties and forfeitures under section 10G of chapter 21A, the surcharge shall be deposited into the Massachusetts Environmental Police Trust Fund.
