Section 41. Whoever is convicted of a second offence of the larceny of a bicycle shall, if the value of the bicycle stolen exceeds ten dollars, be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than five years or by a fine of not more than two hundred dollars or by imprisonment in jail for not more than two years.
