Section 7. Upon the filing of a petition for partition, the petitioner shall forthwith cause to be filed, in the registry of deeds for each registry district where any of the land included in the petition lies, a notice of the same, containing a brief description of the land in such district included therein, and the names of all persons appearing in the petition as parties. If the proceedings are at any time amended, either by the inclusion of more land or by adding new parties, a further notice thereof shall be filed forthwith in the registry district where the land lies. No interlocutory decree for partition or sale shall be made by the court until it appears by affidavit that such notices have been filed.
