Section 4. The board shall hire an executive director and establish his salary. The executive director shall be the chief administrative and operational officer of the corporation. The executive director shall attend meetings of the board and may, subject to the approval of the board, employ other employees, consultants, and agents, including legal counsel and advisors. Neither the corporation nor any of its officers, agents, employees, consultants, or advisors shall be subject to the provisions of sections nine A, forty-five, forty-six, and fifty-two of chapter thirty or the provisions of chapter thirty-one.
