§ 8 — Penalties
Massachusetts·Part I ADMINISTRATION OF THE GOVERNMENT·Title XXII CORPORATIONS·Ch. 176U LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE
Section 8. In addition to the penalties provided in chapters 175 and 176D, any insurer or insurance producer found to have violated any requirement of this chapter or any rules or regulations promulgated under this chapter relating to the regulation of long-term care insurance or the marketing of such insurance, shall be subject to a fine of up to 3 times the amount of any commissions paid for each policy involved in the violation or up to $10,000, whichever is greater.
