§ 1 — Definitions

Section 1. As used in this chapter the following words shall unless the context clearly requires otherwise have the following meanings:—''Actuarial opinion'', a signed written statement by a member of the American Academy of Actuaries based upon the person's examination, including a review of the appropriate records, of the actuarial assumptions and methods utilized by the carrier in establishing premium rates for guaranteed issue health plans.''Adjusted composite rate'', the composite rate for each guaranteed issue health plan issued by a carrier adjusted in a consistent manner to be prescribed by the commissioner by regulation to account for differences in premiums between carriers that are the result of (i) geographic differences in the cost of health care;
