§ 25T — Cease and desist orders

Section 25T. After notice and opportunity for a hearing, the commissioner of insurance may issue an order requiring a person or group to cease and desist from engaging in an act or practice found to be in violation of any provision of sections twenty-five E to twenty-five U, inclusive, or of any rules or regulations promulgated thereunder.Upon a finding, after notice and opportunity for a hearing, that any person or group has violated any cease and desist order, the commissioner of insurance may: impose a monetary penalty of not more than ten thousand dollars for each act or violation of such order not to exceed an aggregate monetary penalty of one hundred thousand dollars and may revoke the group's certificate of approval.
