The department may issue a license without examination to an applicant whose qualifications meet the requirements for licensure established by the department if such applicant is licensed or certified in alcohol and drug counseling or a comparable field in another state wherein the requirements for licensure are deemed by the department to be equivalent to or in excess of the requirements of this chapter.Chapter 111J: Section 8.
