§ 3 — Definitions

Section 3. As used in this chapter, the following words, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, shall have the following meanings:—

(a)''Affiliate'', a person that directly or indirectly, through one or more intermediaries, controls or is controlled by, or is under common control with, another person.
(b)''Associate'', when used to indicate a relationship with any person:
(1)any corporation or organization of which such person is a director, officer or partner or is, directly or indirectly, the owner of twenty percent or more of any class of voting stock;
(2)any trust or other estate in which such person has at least a twenty percent beneficial interest or as to which such person serves as trustee or in a similar fiduciary capacity; and (3) any relative or spouse of such person, o
