Section 55.

(a)A foreign limited partnership doing business in the commonwealth which fails to register with the secretary of state shall be subject to subdivision A of section 15.02 of chapter 156D relative to foreign corporations.
(b)Foreign limited partnership shall be liable to be sued and to have their property attached in the same manner and to the same extent as individuals who are residents of other jurisdictions. Every foreign limited partnership doing business in the commonwealth without having registered as prescribed in this section and every foreign limited partnership which shall have withdrawn from the commonwealth shall be considered to have appointed the secretary of state to be its true and lawful attorney upon whom all lawful process in any action or proceeding in the c
