§1581. Public administrators; appointment; terms; powers and duties The governor shall appoint public administrators for each parish of the state having a population of fifty thousand or more, according to the last census, whose terms of office shall be concurrent with the term of the governor. Except as is otherwise provided, they shall have the same powers and be subject to the same duties as are provided by law for administrators.
