A.

(1)A federal credit union may be converted into a state credit union under this Chapter by (a) complying with all the federal requirements requisite to enabling it to convert to a credit union under this Chapter or to cease being a federal credit union, (b) filing with the commissioner proof of such compliance, satisfactory to the commissioner, and (c) filing with the commissioner an act of incorporation as provided for in R.S. 6:641.
(2)When the commissioner has been satisfied that all of the requirements, and all other requirements of this Chapter, have been complied with, the commissioner shall approve the act of incorporation.
