A.The Assumption Parish School Board is hereby authorized to levy and collect an additional one percent sales and use tax within the parish of Assumption under the provisions of Article VI, Section 29(B) of the Constitution of Louisiana.
B.The proceeds of the tax herein authorized shall be used to provide additional funds for the installation, maintenance, and operation of air conditioning systems in parish schools, including the payment of additional utility costs, and including the funding of a portion of the avails of the said tax into bonds in the manner provided by Subpart F, Part III, Chapter 4, Subtitle II of Title 39 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes and to provide additional funds for the payment of salaries of teachers and other school employees to the extent funds are availabl
