§120.34. Legislative intent; declaration of purpose and policy It is the intent of the legislature to protect the health, safety, and well-being of the children of the state. The legislature declares that the children of the state are its single greatest resource and that these children require the utmost protection to guard their future and the future of the state. It is in the public interest to protect our children from child abuse and neglect.
