§232. Investigations and reports
A.If any person has knowledge that any dependent child is dependent upon the
public for support, or that the interest of the public requires that the child be granted aid, the
person may bring the fact to the notice of the parish office of the Department of Children and
Family Services of the parish in which the child resides, which department shall make an
investigation and examination of the circumstances of the child before the granting of aid.
B.A report of the investigation, examination, and visit shall be made in writing and
become a part of the record in the case.
