§157. Prosthetic dentures; eligibility; rules and regulations
A.The bureau of health services financing of the Louisiana Department of Health
shall make available to persons of this state who are eligible for Medicaid benefits under
Title XIX of the Social Security Act, prosthetic dentures, upon certification by a dentist
licensed under Louisiana law that the person is in need of prosthetic dentures, and upon
certification of such need by the Louisiana Department of Health.
B.The secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health shall promulgate the
necessary rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this Section. Such rules and
regulations shall ensure that no charge for prosthetic dentures shall be approved for payment
in excess of that normally received in private commercial
