§761. Sale of swamp or sea marsh lands Whenever a sixteenth section donated to the state by Congress for school purposes is located in a township not habitable by reason of the township being swamp or sea marsh, the school board may, upon the petition of the land owners owning in area more than one-half of the land in the township, order the sale of the sixteenth section by resolution or motion passed by a majority of the members of the board present and voting.
