§543. Sale or incumbrance prior to issuance of patent
No person entering land under the provisions of this Subpart may sell,
alienate or encumber the lands so entered prior to issuance of patent therefor,
except for school, church, or cemetery purposes, or for right of way for
railroads, telephone or telegraph lines, public roads, oil or gas pipe lines, or
canals, ditches or conduits for irrigation or drainage through the lands.
