§96. Confidentiality The vital statistics records required by this Part and the identities of the parties to a gestational carrier contract shall be confidential and shall not be subject to disclosure, release, or inspection except upon application to a competent court and in conformity with the applicable requirements of confidentiality applicable to adoptions in the Children's Code. The reporting of the data for public health purposes shall redact any identifying information and any public report shall indicate patient numbers as assigned pursuant to rules promulgated by the Louisiana Department of Health.
