§ 40:57 — Divorce certificate; registration of divorces and annulments

Louisiana·Title 40 Public Health and Safety
For every divorce and every annulment of marriage decreed by any court, the clerk of the court shall prepare, within ten days after the decree becomes final, from the court records, a certificate of the decree on forms furnished by the state registrar. On or before the fifteenth day of each calendar month, the clerk shall forward the certificates which were prepared by him during the preceding calendar month to the state registrar.
