§5.6. Safe drinking water; inspections and tests; cost

A.Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the office of public health of the Louisiana Department of Health shall perform all inspections, tests, or procedures on public water supplies as may be authorized by the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. 300f et seq. at no cost to any municipality, parish governing authority, or any public or privately owned water system except as provided in R.S. 40:31.33.
B.The office of public health shall perform tests for contaminants identified in accordance with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. 300f et seq., at least once a year, as funds are appropriated, on all public water supplies in municipal
