§28. Tubercular individuals; free diagnostic clinics

A.Free diagnostic clinics may be established and maintained by the Louisiana Department of Health for the purpose of doing diagnostic work for possible tubercular individuals. These clinics shall be equipped with appropriate X-ray and other laboratory apparatus.
B.Any licensed physician engaged in private practice in Louisiana may utilize these clinics as aids in his private practice for the detection of tuberculosis only, subject to the conditions imposed by the Louisiana Department of Health. The Louisiana Department of Health may operate, along with these clinics, any other appropriate health work related thereto.
