§2124. Contribution to cost of care by parent; notification; payment; default A. When the Louisiana Department of Health provides payments for care and treatment of a child under the provisions of this Part, the parent or guardian will be required to contribute to the cost of care of the child in a manner which is (1) consistent with applicable federal and state regulations,

(2)commensurate with his ability to pay, and (3) in accordance with a sliding scale which shall be established by the Louisiana Department of Health. B. The Louisiana Department of Health shall notify parents or guardians of their responsibility to contribute to the cost of care and shall bill the parents or guardians on a periodic basis, but no less often than quarterly, for the amount due.
