§1666. Purpose of law This law is enacted by the legislature in the exercise of the police power of the state, to promote the public welfare and safety, by providing better protection from fire and other conflagrations. Acts 1963, No. 82, §1; Redesignated from R.S. 33:2001. See Acts 2014, No. 158, §§3 and 7.
