Text

Any person having charge of a jail or other place of detention shall, provided sufficient facilities are available, receive any prisoner arrested by a police employee of the division and shall detain him in custody until otherwise ordered by a court, by the department, or by the police employee from whom the prisoner was received. Whoever violates this Section shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days, or both.
