Text

Any police employee of the division, in executing any warrant of arrest issued by any magistrate of the state or in making any other arrest, shall, immediately after the arrest, place the person arrested in the parish jail of the parish in which the arrest was made. Whoever wilfully violates this Section shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days, or both.
