§ 39:1527 — Definitions

§1527. Definitions
As used in this Chapter, the following terms and phrases shall have the
meanings ascribed to them in this Section unless otherwise provided or unless
the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) "Claims" refers to only those claims covered by the Self-Insurance
Fund in accordance with this Chapter.
(2) "Commissioner" means the commissioner of administration or his
duly authorized designee.
(3) "State agencies" means the executive branch, the legislative branch,
and the judicial branch of state government and the officers and employees
thereof, but does not include parish officials set forth in Article VI, Sections
5(G) and 7(B) of the Constitution of Louisiana or their respective officers,
deputies, employees, or appointees. "State agencies" shall not include any
housing authority created pursuant to Part I of Chapter 3 of Title 40 of the
Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.
