§3445. Board meetings; procedures; powers and duties
A.The board shall be domiciled and hold its meetings in Baton Rouge. The board
shall hold a meeting within sixty days after October 1, 1988, and semiannually thereafter.
The board shall elect from its membership a chairman, vice chairman, and secretary. The
board may meet at such other times as deemed necessary by the chairman, or by the majority
of its members, or by the governor. Reasonable notice of all meetings shall be given in the
manner prescribed by the board. Three members of the board shall constitute a quorum at
any meeting or hearing.
B.A clerical secretary, who shall not be a member of the board, shall be employed,
within the limits of the funds received by the board pursuant to R.S. 37:3446. The board
