A.

(1)All persons registered or licensed to use the title "interior designer", "registered interior designer", or "licensed interior designer" on January 1, 2000, shall be qualified for interior design registration under the provisions of this Chapter upon application to the board, provided that their license is not inactive, expired, suspended, or revoked.
(2)Any person licensed on January 1, 2000, who has not passed the required examination by January 1, 2003, shall show completion of one of the following prior to having the certificate of registration renewed:
(a)Passage of the building and barrier free code section of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification examination.
