Text

A. In addition to or in lieu of any remedy provided in this Chapter, the board may seek the imposition of a civil penalty through any district court of any violation for which the board may issue a notice to cease and desist under this Chapter. The civil penalty shall be no less than five hundred dollars and no more than five thousand dollars for each offense. B. When the board finds any registered veterinary technician guilty of any of the grounds set forth in this Chapter, it may enter an order imposing one or more of the following penalties:

(1)Denial of an application.
(2)Revocation or suspension of a certificate of approval.
(3)Imposition of an administrative fine not to exceed one thousand dollars for each count or separate offense.
(4)Issuance of a reprimand.
