Text

A. Any ambulance service district created under the provisions of this Chapter shall be governed by a board of commissioners composed of five qualified voters of the district, all to be appointed by the parish governing authority. B.

(1)Two of the initial commissioners shall serve terms of two years, two shall serve terms of four years, and one shall serve a term of six years as designated by the governing authority. Thereafter, commissioners shall serve terms of six years. Any vacancy shall be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment. Any commissioner may be removed from office for cause and his appointment rescinded by a two-thirds vote of the elected membership of the parish governing authority.
